Mayco SW187 Himalajan suolalasite antaa 1240 °C:ssa poltettaessa kiiltävän pinnan, jossa on vaaleanpunaisen oransseja pilkkuja. Polttolämpötilan noustessa väri muuttuu harmaaksi ja siihen ilmestyy oranssinvioletteja välähdyksiä.
